Glimpse into The Hobby
The hobby of trains is like customizing something to your specifications. To begin there are in expensive bargains to to be had at Hobby Shops and
sale pages like Ebay or Facebook Media pages. First and up most is determine what era you wish to model and check out Train Shows also excellent
for the beginner.
Model Railroading is a great hobby for all ages to learn NEW Skills and Socialize. We are always looking for members with Our Season running from
September to May. June and to August We do have our Club Nights posted on this Website and have CLUB RUN DAYS where both groups come
together running trains.
So my choice in Model Railroading is the Modern Stuff. This is a HO Scale model locomotive which
I purchased off of Ebay Auction came in DC Power and was very happy to get it. These units are
9300-9303 were 6000HP and all scrapped because of computer issues. so it is for me a very
valued item.
So at the time I found out that DCC Power was available after my purchase. This was my preference
of operation as with your Smart Phone and Engine Driver, one can WiFi to the server and walk along
beside your train with other users as it is localized to the locomotive.
So recently it was cheaper for me to purchase a DCC system with Sound and a speaker. I ran a small
test of it on March 28th 2024 on a stick track as I have no layout at home only 2 HO Scale Modules.
There are many DCC unit systems with various levels of operation, again depending what you want
customize your Locomotive.
