What Does MVAR offer:
Since our conception in 1987, Our MVAR Club which was established in 1992 has seen many changes over the years. The most notable was the
development of our current “Modular System” with both our (N) T Trak and Ho2Go (HO) groups. Finally a member can build a personal module
and place personal scenery on it and install it in a club layout at a club night, without having anymore in home tours. As a note, one is not required
to have a train module when joining the club. Further to these scales, we have others like G Scale and S Scale which show up at Model Train Shows.
A few years ago, it was decided by Membership to dissolve “The Executive” approach and JUST RUN TRAINS. If we require a decision making issue
we just have a pop-up meeting at either club nights. Our current Coordinators John Allen for N Scale and Bill Lawrence for HO Scale are
excellent to keep all Members informed of Club nights and Pending Shows in the field. The track power on the Modules are capable of running DC
or DCC depending on your requirements.
Our MVAR Club are always seeking NEW Members to join us for small nominal fee to cover expenses. The hobby is great for retirement people and
would be excellent for youth. Within our club, we have members good at things if you require any assistance.
Come on out to N Club Night every 2nd Thursday of the month or HO Club Night every 4th Thursday of the month and see our operations and talk
to the Members. Seeing the actual size you can determine which Scale of Trains suits your needs.
